Background: |
The UNOPS Jerusalem Operations Center (JMOC) was established in November 2006 to provide project services throughout the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt.) JMOC has an established office in Jerusalem and is supported by the European and Middle East Regional Office (EMO).
To ameliorate the delivery of humanitarian assistance and advance the protection of civilians, an Access Coordination Unit (ACU) was created to develop a centralized pro-active and sustainable access strategy for the movement of humanitarian personnel and goods. The Access Coordination Unit is a joint project managed, administered and supervised respectively by UN partner agencies UNOPS, OCHA, and UNDSS in support of the Humanitarian Coordinator. The ACU aims to provide operational support INGO staff and goods facing access difficulties.
UNOPS serves as the Administrative Agent for this project whilst UNOCHA, UNDSS serve respectively as programmatic managers and supervisors of this project. In support of its partner organizations, UNOPS is looking to recruit an Administration Clerk for the expansion of the Access Coordination Unit project.

Description of Responsibilities: |
Under the guidance and supervision of Administration Team Leader, the Administration Clerk will be responsible for collecting, recording, and processing visa and permit requests of INGO and CAP agencies humanitarian staff members.
Impact of Results
•Timely and systematic collection of incoming visa and permit applications. •File visa and permit applications according to approved office practices. •Ensure application records and supporting documents are maintained and secured appropriately according to office practices. •Monitor visa and permit applications as appropriate and provide support in maintaining the delivery and quality of output. •Under the supervision of the Administration Team Leader, develop a results based monitoring system to record, quantify, and analyze data for risks identified during operations. •Provide support to the Administration Team Leader in identifying progress difficulties and solutions, achievements with action taken to retrieve, secure or maintain progress and quality of delivery. •Timely replies made to incoming communications are completed and recorded. •Perform other tasks as required by the Administration Team Leader. •To be an integral part of the successful visa and permit application process, a dynamic system above the expectations of stakeholders for easing access of staff members. To have displayed a professional, dependable attitude that has operated toward making and keeping customers and a cooperative and positive spirit in working with other team members.

Qualifications : |
Education: Qualifications: • Completion of Secondary school education. A university degree, in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or other relevant discipline, is an advantage but not required. •A demonstrable understanding and acceptance of the project, values, goals, and objectives of the Access Coordination Unit (ACU).
Experience: •At least 2 years of relevant administrative experience, ideally with INGOs in the oPt. •Experience with Israeli bodies responsible for issuing permits and visas or Consulates and International organizations highly desired. •Experience working with Humanitarian entities is an asset.
Language Requirements: •Hebrew is essential both written and oral skills with an excellent command of the English language,
