Background:
Upon the Israeli cabinet decision to ease the blockade on the Gaza Strip and permit the construction materials to enter the Gaza Strip for the international organizations’ projects and to be controlled by these organizations, UNDP has rented a storage facility at Karni Industrial Area to be used for the construction materials of its construction projects in the Gaza Strip before sending these materials to the Project site. The UNDP will recruit a Cleaner (3) to work at the warehouse at Karni Industrial Area and the UNDP Gaza Office will be the Duty Station of the incumbent who will be supervised by Storage Manager.
Description of Responsibilities:
·         Carry out all cleaning function of the UNDP warehouse at Karni Industrial Area including washing, sweeping, dusting, and vacuum-cleaning.
·         Keep the warehouse office rooms, kitchens and toilets clean and hygienic.
·         Maintain and cleans all cleaning equipment utilized.
·         Clean and washes the entrance of the warehouse.
·         Perform other duties as required.

The key results of the post strengthen UNDP/PAPP’s contribution to the Access Coordination efforts in Gaza.

Qualifications :
Education
Elementary Education.
 
Experience
·         Minimum of 3 years of experience as cleaner or janitor.
·        Experience with an international organization is an asset.
Language Requirements
Fluency in the Arabic Language and good knowledge of the English Language.
