Background:
Upon the Israeli cabinet decision to ease the blockade on the Gaza Strip and permit the construction materials to enter the Gaza Strip for the international organizations’ projects and to be controlled by these organizations, UNDP has rented a storage facility at Karni Industrial Area to be used for the construction materials of its construction projects in the Gaza Strip before sending these materials to the Project site. The UNDP will hire security guards (3) to work at the warehouse at Karni Industrial Area and the Duty Station of the Security Guard will be UNDP Gaza Office. The incumbent will be reporting and under the supervision of the Security Guard Supervisor. 
Description of Responsibilities:
·         Patrols and maintains security of the UNDP warehouse facility and the materials at the warehouse.
·         Respond to emergencies affecting the safety of the warehouse and its contents and notify the Guards Supervisor.
·         Report any irregularities at the warehouse and surrounding area.
·         Responds to emergencies affecting the safety of the premises and notifies the supervisor.
·         Provide regular reports to the Guards Supervisor using radios and mobile phones.
·         Controls admission of authorized personnel and movements of UNDP property in and outside the warehouse.
·         Makes sure that all computers and other equipment are turned off after the working hours at the warehouse.
·         Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications :
Education
·         Elementary education.
·         Valid driving license.
 
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of securityExperience with an international organization is an asset.
Language Requirements
Fluency in the Arabic Language and very good knowledge of the English Language.
