Background:
Upon the Israeli cabinet decision to ease the blockade on the Gaza Strip and permit the construction materials to enter the Gaza Strip for the international organizations’ projects and to be controlled by these organizations, UNDP has rented a storage facility at Karni Industrial Area to be used for the construction materials of its construction projects in the Gaza Strip before sending these materials to the Project site. The Duty Station of the Assistant Storage Manager will be UNDP Gaza Office, and the work place will be Karni Crossing, while the incumbent will be reporting to the UNDP Storage Manager. 
Description of Responsibilities:
·         Provide support to the Storage Manager in the overall management of the UNDP stores at Karni Industrial Area.
·         Prepare reports on the materials received at the store as requested by the Storage Manager.
·         Ensure that the store is clean and organized on continuous basis.
·         Attend the loading and off loading of materials at the store and ensure the proper handling of these materials and equipment.
·         Register both manually and using the computer the equipment and materials entering and leaving the store and submit on daily basis copy of the hard copies of the reports to the Store Manager.
·          Assist in controlling incoming materials by physical counts, random weight checks, etc.
·         Assist in making periodic physical inventory checks.
·         Assist in preparing adequate quality reporting on timely manner and ensure that internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records of materials are maintained.
·         Replace the Storage Manager during his absence.
·         Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications :
Education
A High School diploma, BA in Business administration, management, or other relevant field is an asset.
 
Experience
·         At least 3 years of progressive experience including at least two years in the field of shipping, distribution management, store management, or operations.
·         Excellent computer use (Word, Excel and Access).
·         Valid driving license.
Language Requirements
Fluency in both of the English and Arabic languages both spoken and written. Good knowledge of Hebrew is an asset.
