| Background: |
Under the direct supervision of the UN-Habitat Program Manager in the West Bank, the Project Manager / Income Generation and Development Expert will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project/s, in particular, he/she will be in charge of the following key functions mentioned under section III below. |
| Description of Responsibilities: |
· Review, develop and update the project work plan in consultation with project staff and partners;
· Supervise, monitor and administer all project staff and activities and ensure timely delivery of activities;
· Review and monitor the progress of the project/s;
· Initiate and prepare new project proposals, concept papers and relevant documents;
· Develop a relevant Income Generation Programme;
· Supervise the financial administrationandbudgetcontroloftheproject;
· Review and approve payment and procurement requests in cooperation with the engineering team,
· Prepare the required progress reports, project performance reports, financial reportsandtheprojectterminal report;
· In cooperation with the Project team, ensure that all tendering, contracting and recruitment procedures of the project are in compliance with the UN-HABITAT and the donors requirements,
· Ensure timely monitoring and evaluation of the Project,
· Endorse and approve liquidation reports;
· Undertake any additional tasks that might be required in carrying out the above.

| Qualifications : |
Education:
· Advanced Degree/MA in of Development Studies, Economics, UrbanPlanning,Engineering,Management, or other related fields.
· Prince2 training and certification is an asset.
Experience:
· 10 years experience in project management, and recognized experience in income generation or small enterprise development.
· Experience in rural and urban community-based development initiatives and interventions, especially in the fields of shelter development, community development, socio-economic development and development planning.
· Proficiency in the utilization of Microsoft Office Software, including Microsoft Project.
· Excellent reporting skills and experience in proposal writing.
· Experience with the UN system is an added advantage.
Language Requirements:
Fluent in the English and Arabic Languages, both written & oral.
